American Fish Sandwich

Living in the middle of the county is the pits when it comes to seafood. Sometimes I just want a comforting fish sandwich, and I don’t want to go to McDonalds. This is my version of a decent weekday night Fish sandwich that can be made with regular boneless whitefish that you can find at a normal grocery store.

Equipment:

  • Cutting Board

  • Filet Knife

  • Fryer

  • Chef knife

  • small mixing bow


Ingredients:

  • Boneless white fish Filet (Turbot, Cod, Halibut, Red Snapper, Tilapia, Walleye)

  • Batter

  • 200g rice flour plus extra for dusting

  • Shredduce

  • Tartar sauce

  • American cheese

  • Sesame Seed buns

Directions:

  • Combine drys with whisk, and add liquids. Whisk until smooth.

  • Portion Fish into a appropriate size, 

  • Make shredduce, and toast buns

  • Apply tartar to both sides of bun

  • Dust fish in rice flour, and dip in batter

  • Fry until golden brown

  • Toast buns with butter, spread with tartar sauce, place fish, cheese, and lettuce, top with crown.
